- Gary, we had our opening night tonight and everything went well! I want to thank you for all the music
you provided and particularly your excellent musicianship! All the numbers were excellent!
—Mike Salamone & The West Seneca Youth Theatre cast, crew & staff!
- Hello, I am a high school student now in my junior year. Every year we do a school show, and this year
we are doing "Bye Bye Birdie". What I wanted to say is thank you for you excellent MIDI
sequences. What I liked was the fact that each sequence, done by you, had a proper tempo. You had
creative MIDI fonts for each instrument in each song. It was in the proper key. You played the
whole song; you followed the song as exactly as written in the play itself (I have the original music
for it [no arrangements]), and overall was perfect to play with (I play the violin).
—Dennis Hancock
- Everytime I listen to your MIDIs and use them for rehearsal, I silently say a prayer for your talent.
I am a retired concert pianist (trained at Julliard) but I don't have the skills you do for this
orchestration. You are a marvel! God bless you...You are sensational! These MIDIs are just too great
for words! You know how much fun and stress are involved in producing and directing a play. Add a
young cast and...These MIDIs are just too marvelous for words! —Rosemary Colonna

for "Performances As An Actor"

- The Glass Menagerie—Mr. Piacentini plays Tom with extraordinary candor and force.
He vacillates between the caged cat in need of freedom & adventure, & the loving brother,
frustrated by the seemingly impossible task of drawing his mouse like sister into reality. His
darting eyes & sly smile draw the audience into what little reality is in evidence on the
stage before us, constantly reminding us, in his narrations, that we are indeed watching a memory,
and therefore are witness to very little that is real.
—Phil Holland-The Three Village Herald
- Gary Piacentini, as Amanda's son, Tom, gave an excellent performance, defining through
humor & playfulness his love for his mother, despite the moments of sheer frustration &
bitter anger that she frequently aroused in him. He also excited in bringing a sense of
poignancy & poetry to the fire escape scenes in which Tom became narrator, commenting both
on events in his family & the current events of a world that was moving rapidly toward
World War II. —Elissa Hendrey-The Village Times
- The Lady From Maxims—Mr. Piacentini brought life to the musical.
—Joan Delaney-The Baldwin Citizen
- The Real Inspector Hound—Gary Piacentini is a resonant & robust Simon Gascoyne.
—Alvin Klein-The New York Times
- The Play's The Thing—Gary has the indestructible role of the strutting former
matinee idol; leading baritone & lover of the leading lady & has the customary field
day in the 3rd Act. Mr Piacentini makes it a romp for us all.
—Joseph S. King–L.B. Independent Voice
- He enlivens the scenes in this charming, sophisticated go–round.
—Nancy Wallis-Smithtown News
- A Touch Of Spring—Gary provides a vibrant charismatic & very funny portrayal
of Baldo, the con man who helps Sandy & Alison cut through the Italian red tape & fall
in love with each other.
—Ollie Reed Jr–The Albuquerque Tribune
- It is Gary Piacentini as the Italian guide who really delights the audiences with his sharp lines
and slick delivery. —Chuck Mittlestadt–The New Mexico Hollywood Reporter
- Now for the good news. His name is Gary Piacentini, & he has a smile that goes all the way
up to his eyebrows. He is the "arranger" without whom nothing in Italy gets
done—either by having the telephone fixed or bribing the correct bureaucrat to extricate 2
parental bodies from a river of red tape.
—Anna Dooling–
The Albuquerque Journal
- El Grande De Coca Cola—The part of the nephew as a bungling dolt is nicely played
by Gary Piacentini. —Bill Kaufman–Newsday
- A crazy pianist, among other things. —Jacquie Villa–L.I.Press
- A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum—Gary's such a subtly potent
performer. He is the only actor I've seen who can get a laugh out of just ringing a bell.
